| The world's most exciting sport came to another domestic climax this weekend as Twenty20 final fever swept the south coast on Saturday. Durham, Essex, Kent and Middlesex were all VIP's at the Rose Bowl as a sell-out crowd enjoyed a seriously entertaining day. One of those attendees was a punter who bought Total Middlesex Runs for the day at 220 for £75, using our Bet on the Move service. Our mobile betting service is just perfect for watching cricket as you can punt discreetly, without having to leave your seat (get it now by clicking here). Anyway, Tyron Henderson was the hero as Middlesex mustered 141 runs to beat Durham in their semi. The savage South-African top scored with 59 to brush aside the northerner's on the way to firing the Crusaders into what was a scintillating final. The troubled county then held their nerve to see off defending champions Kent in the final ball of the day, as Henderson conceded only one off the four needed to surpass Middlesex's 187. This ensured that our sun drenched client could wallow in his £8,100 profit. |

Darts is one of the few sports riding on the crest of a popularity wave these past few years (well, the PDC version anyway). And last weekend saw a thrilling conclusion to the World Matchplay as Phil Taylor took on James Wade in the 'Vegas of the North', Blackpool. One client will be as depressed as one of the donkeys after buying Wade's Leg Supremacy at three for £200 when the Aldershot ace went into a storming 7-4 lead (market awards 3pts per leg won by). The Power admitted at the end of last year that he thought his career was over after losing in the first round of the World Grand Prix and at 7-4 down his head must have been everywhere. But such is the class of the man that he went on to win the next 12 out of 13 legs, averaging close to a staggering 110 as he went 16-8 in front. Our man must have wondered what had hit him as Wade could only win one more leg before the greatest darts player that there will ever be sealed victory with a 132 bullseye checkout. And by doing so made two men cry. Himself, and the punter who was left to nurse an £8,000 loss after the market made-up -37.

Premier League According to football pundit Tony Gale, Fulham have struck gold by securing the services of Andy Johnson and some of our punters agree with the Sky Sports guru. The Cottagers’ season points are up one to 38.5-40.
Formula One Robert Kubica has had a great season to date (he currently lies fourth in the Drivers Championship). Will Sauber's Polish speed machine continue to impress? He's up one to 19-22 on our F1 Championship Index.
Big Brother Luke lost his big-bosomed buddy Bex, after the public voted her out last Friday night and could it spell the end of the road for him? The whimsical Wigan student is down 11 to 10-13 on our Big Brother Outright Index.
Mildly interesting / useless sporting fact
James Wade came within one dart of achieving the first ever nine-darter with a double start at the 2007 World Grand Prix. In the semi-final against Raymond van Barneveld he hit double top to open the leg, then six treble 20s, treble 17 then missed a bullseye for the unique nine-darter.
