The emotional hot tub that is Stamford Bridge was the scene for the greatest win in Chelsea's history. Over the past week West London has played host to two of the most tumultuous games of football seen this season, with Wednesday's semi-final against Liverpool tipping the sentimental scales. One punter will be able to enjoy the extended weekend a little more after coming in late to buy the Total Goal Minutes in extra time at 16 for £50. After Liverpool's equaliser, their first goal at the Bridge in 841 minutes of football, the game was balanced like a fly on water and it took only eight minutes for the week's most dramatic moment to unfold. Hyypia felled Ballack and up stepped the incredibly brave Lampard to blast home and bring the house down. Rafa's favourite Didier Drogba then sealed the tie, slotting home from an Anelka centre. The game was over but the client's luck wasn’t as Babel sent a screamer past Cech in the dying minutes. A 320 make-up of the market ensuring that a cheque for £15,200, reluctantly signed by our Finance Director, will be winging its way in the post.

If you haven't caught any of the snooker over the past week and a half then you’re a buffoon. The action up at Sheffield has been nothing short of world class, not least in Tuesday’s quarter-final clash between Peter Ebdon and Ali Carter. One client will be cursing his luck after selling the Highest Break markets of both players at 104 and 102 respectively for £75 each, obviously thinking that the hairless and flairless Edbon and notorious choker Carter would serve up a dull, tense affair. But how wrong he was as both players treated the audience to a thrilling game culminating in the 14th frame when Ebdon knocked in a 143 only after missing his 15th black to deny himself a maximum. Then, to make matters worse for the punter, Carter got back to the table and proceeded to knock in red black after red black to give himself the chance of repeating what the Rocket had done the day before. 15 minutes later the Essex boy potted the final black and punched the air in celebration, while our man punched the TV in frustration.

Premier League Things were looking very bleak for the Cottagers at the City of Manchester Stadium at half-time, but second half goals from Kamara and Murphy stopped the tears from flowing (for now at least!). Fulham are down four points to 33-35 on our Premier League Relegation Index.
Will Fergie's decision to drop Ronaldo and Tevez against fellow Champions League finalists Chelsea come back to haunt him? The Red Devils are down 2.5 points to 55.5 on our Premier League Championship Index following their 2-1 defeat at the Bridge.
Super League Rugby league fans are going KP, it's 'Millennium Magic' weekend in Cardiff! Leeds head to the Welsh capital in fine fettle after beating Hull KR last Friday and the Rhinos are up two points to 54-57 on our Super League Outright Index.
Mildly interesting / useless sporting fact of the week
147 hero Ali Carter, although viewing snooker as his main profession, is training to qualify as a commercial airline pilot.
