Pretty much everything has been said about Sunday's game, bar the forthcoming FA enquiry, Fabio's autobiography and various player bean spilling. But cast any patriotism aside and check out this special which won one punter a sizeable sum after he bought our 'Herr Today' game special at 57 for £80. The market quite humorously awarded 15pts per German goal (called 'Herr Net'), 5pts per German shot on target ('Herr Trigger'), 10pts per German sub ('Herr Removal'), 10pts each Ozil assist ('Herr Stylist'), 25pts - Germany qualify ('Herr Apparent') and -25pts if they fail to qualify ('Bad Herr Day'). Quite brilliant stuff and one of the components wasted no time in locking in 5pts for the punter as Ozil was denied by James early on. Klose then scored that 'pub game' goal as Lawro so rightfully put it. Klose was then denied by James before Podolski made it two (God this hurts to write). After a couple more shots and England's mini-revival, Thomas Muller scored the breakaway goal of the tournament and three minutes later he did exactly the same but was this time set up by none other than 'Herr Stylist' himself. Joachim Loew then obliged by taking off Klose, Muller and the man Ozil, but by then it didn't matter, as seven shots on goal and four goals gave the market a make-up of 160. Germany advanced to the Quarters and the punter advanced his World Cup P&L by £8,240.

Anyone think that Andy Murray has been playing so well at Wimbledon because the British media are currently consumed with that shower who wore the three lions? I think so. But one of the shocks of the sporting year might go a little more unnoticed than it usually would because of the World Cup as the great Roger Federer failed to make the Wimbledon final for the first time since 2002. The living legend not only disappointed himself and his fans but also a shedload of punters who bought him on our Outright Index at 75 on the eve of his Quarter-final match against Tomas Berdych. Staking £200, some experts might've warned against any sort of buy after witnessing Federer struggle as early as the opening round when he lost the first two sets. This was not the man who has won 16 Grand Slams as 12th seed Berdych took advantage of an out-of-sorts Federer to send shockwaves through the game. But the 12th seed more than deserved it giving a performance of the very highest order winning 6-4, 3-6, 6-1, 6-4 to mean that the Swiss was awarded 25 points on our Outright Index for his Quarter-final exit. A £10,000 loss, who'd have thought it!

Jagger's Jolly 2010 David Villa's goal against Portugal (his fourth of the tournament) drew him level with Slovakia's Robert Vittek and Argentina's Gonzalo Higuain at the top of the goal scoring charts. Those who bought him on the Golden Boot Index are in a solid position after seeing his price move from 20-23, at the start of the World Cup, to 69-73. And with Paraguay up next for Spain, Villa and his backers, will be confident of adding to that tally.
But, after three goals in his last two games, Uruguay's Luis Suarez is the surprise outsider for the boot. Originally available at 1-3, he's now trading at 20-24. Can the Ajax striker shoot himself to the top of the table?
Two own goals in England's warm up game against Japan resulted in lots of buyers in our Total Own Goals market. Originally available at 3.4-3.7, the spread quickly rose to 3.7-4. And with two early OGs the price rose further to 4.7-5. But with no own goals since and with only 8 games remaining, buyers will be as deflated as the price - now 2.4-2.6.

He might have the tactical nous of the lovechild of Dr Jozef Venglos and Christian Gross but there is no doubting that Fabio Capello is a passionate man (contains some strong language).
