Well the dream of an all English final is sadly not to be, but the good news is that they are holding the 3rd and 4th place Champions League playoff at the new Wembley later this month..... it's called the FA Cup Final!

Enough of the childish banter, this weekend most of you will be able to enjoy a three day break due to the bank holiday and the fixture list compilers have not let us down. Attentions turn to three huge derby matches, the Guinness Premiership playoffs, a couple of half-decent horse races, one boxing bout and the climax of the snooker. All this should definitely ensure a long queue of traders outside the burrow Tuesday morning, AAARRRGGGHHH!

It's finally over; the Cricket World Cup has been put to bed in nothing short of farcical fashion. Although after all that's transpired in the Caribbean it would have been a real shame if the best team didn't win the competition. Fortunately the Aussies can thank Adam Gilchrist for producing one of the finest one day knocks ever seen which would have pleased one client who bought the keeper's Performance at 58 for £20 (1 point per run, 10 points per catch, 25 points per stumping). Man of the match 'Gilly' hit a stupendous 149 from 104 balls, took one catch and made one stumping to take his Performance market to a total of 194 and cement a £2,720 profit for the very satisfied client.

We have seen some serious excitement in the snooker this week. Take the quarter-final between Shaun Murphy and Matthew Stevens. Stevens resumed the final session 11-5 ahead needing only two frames to seal victory. One client, who saw into the future, decided to buy the Murphy Win Index at the start of the session at 1.5 for £50 (25 points for winning, 0 points for losing). The Englishman went on to pull off one of the finest Crucible comebacks in history, with the shell-shocked Stevens managing to win only one further frame, thus pocketing the clairvoyant client £1,175. World Championship Snooker - you better catch it now before it's too late!

Two tales of woe involving the red half of Manchester dominate the bad trades section this week, starting with that incredible game at Goodison Park on Saturday. One client could not believe his misfortune when he sold Man U's Total Goal Minute Supremacy at 36 for £5 (the Total Goal Minutes of each goal scored by one team versus the Total Goal Minutes of the other). The punter was staring at a £490 profit as Everton sensationally went 2-0 up with goals in the 12th and 50th minutes. That was until United woke up and scored 296 minutes worth of goals to give the market a final make-up of 234 and leave the client with a £990 loss. The awesome comeback destroyed the client's dream of any profit but keep United's Premiership dream firmly intact.

Another client who was on the end of a Manchester United trading tragedy was one who bought their Team Goal Minutes at 65 for £4. After Milan went two goals up at the rain soaked San Siro the client could have been expecting Man U to really go for it but regrettably for this punter the best they could muster was a skewed second-half shot wide of the Rossoneri post by Darren Fletcher, meaning that the result of the market finished at a big fat zero. It must have been so frustrating for the client who ended up having to nurse a £260 blow to the hip.

Super League Wigan's footballers may be biting their nails, but the town's Rugby League stars returned home in high spirits after racking up 50 points against local rivals Salford last Friday night. The Warriors are up three points to 37-40 on our Super League Outright Index. While Karl Harrison's Reds remain rooted to the bottom following the heavy home loss and they are up four points to 23-26 on our Super League Bottom 3 Index.

Champions League After AC Milan ran riot against Man United the Rossoneri are now the favourites to lift the trophy. Ancelotti's men are up 22 points to 87.5-89 on our Champions League Outright Index.

European Football The top boys in the Primera Liga (Barca, Sevilla, Real and Valencia) are holding firm after they all secured vital wins last weekend, although there has been money coming in for Sevilla and Valencia. Both sides are up one point to 36-39 and 21-24 respectively on our Primera Liga Championship Index.

Premiership It's all gone horribly wrong for Chelsea on both the domestic and European fronts this week. After their rollercoaster ride against Bolton last Saturday, which saw them lose ground on United, the Blues are down four points to 41-42 on our Premiership Outright Index.

Down at the other end of the table, the relegation scrap continues to hot up. Is Alan Pardew's honeymoon period at Charlton finally over? The Addicks, who were hammered 4-1 at Ewood Park on Saturday, are up eight points to 34-37 on our Premiership Relegation Index.

Championship West Brom returned to winning ways in a heated encounter with Coventry last weekend. The boing boing Baggies, who are still yet to clinch a playoff spot, are up nine points to 15-17 on our Championship Outright Index.
