| The Tri-Nations tournament is always a special event in the sporting calendar. The three greatest rugby union teams in the world come together and smash each other to pieces over the space of three months to decide who is the best. Last Saturday New Zealand took on Australia for the penultimate time with the Kiwis looking for revenge after last week's Aussie mauling. One client couldn't actually see a bet he liked so he used our Multiples feature to make one himself. He wanted to bet on New Zealand hotshots but didn't fancy the ones that we had on offer. So, by using the multiples feature he chose his own four components, in this case it was Kahui, Nonu, Sivivatu and the N.Z front five. The feature then gave him a price of 23-24.5 which he bought for £200. And what a tremendous decision that turned out to be as New Zealand got their revenge on their biggest rivals stuffing them 39-10. And guess who scored the tries? A brace from Ma'a Nonu and Tony Woodcock, the Kiwi loosehead prop, prompted champagne popping scenes from the client as he picked up 15,100 big ones. |

You might not believe it but there was some real excitement in Formula One last weekend as one punter became perhaps the unluckiest person to appear in this section. Our man bought Felipe Massa on our LIVE Race Index at 23 for £300 (25 points for win, 10 for 2nd, five for 3rd). The Brazilian was comfortably leading the Hungarian Grand Prix as the client tried to nick a few quid after some impressive moves to squeeze past Kovalainen and Hamilton. But with three laps to go disaster struck, as he powered down the straight Massa's engine inexplicably blew up grinding him to a halt, letting Kovalainen whizz past to gift the Finn his maiden victory. The Massa engine failure, without doubt some of the most incredible scenes seen this season, cost the client a cat kicking £6,900. And he probably couldn't even buy a Ferrari spark plug for that!

Olympics Where were you when Redgrave snatched his fifth Olympic gold in Sydney or when a victorious Daley Thompson back-flipped in LA? Punters are expecting some more golden moments from the Brits in Beijing this month. Our GB & NI Gold Medal quote is up one to 11.5-12
Championship QPR supporters are dreaming of bigger and better things since the multi-millionaires descended on Loftus Road. Will money and happiness go hand-in-hand in W12? Their season points quote is up two to 72-74.
Formula One Do you know any Portuguese expletives? You would have picked up a few if you'd been in the vicinity of Felipe Massa on his way back to the pits in Hungary. The Brazilian is down two to 34-37 on our F1 Drivers Championship Index following his shocking late exit last Sunday.
Mildly interesting / useless sporting fact
New Zealand centre Ma'a Nonu has a penchant for wearing eyeliner while on the field. The All Black says he likes to express his personality while on the field and hopes that his look catches on with other players. I'll let you tell the 6 foot, 15 stone unit that he’s a big girl’s blouse!
