The Heineken Cup begins this weekend, but will rugby's premier club competition attract an extra element of support this year given the apparent success of the World Cup? The competition did wonders to educate the rugby illiterate; even Jimmy Greaves described rugby as his new number one passion. But how many will stay in touch with this wonderful game now that competitive international rugby hibernates until February? One thing that you can be sure of is that if you want a Heineken Cup fix this weekend, then look no further than us.

Yours in sport

Great Britain (or should we say England plus Fa'asavalu) experienced their greatest moment for nearly 15 years in Hull on Saturday night as they sealed their first series win since 1993. One client who was at the KC Stadium used Bet on the Move (our mobile betting service) to buy GB's supremacy over New Zealand at 12 for £50. Our man did not fear any potential Kiwi backlash and as early as the second minute the series win was never in doubt. The Lions were simply marvellous as they "nilled" the Kiwi's (Tony Smith's use of English not mine) going over an incredible eight times to seal a 44-0 victory, which ensured silverware and bragging rights as we head towards next year's World Cup. A £1,600 profit for the punter - not half bad for pressing a few buttons on his Nokia!

Oh to be a buyer of Total Goal Minutes at the moment. Fresh from Chelsea's record breaking onion bag stuffing of last week it was now the turn of Liverpool to fill these particular column inches. One punter was on the right side of what seems to be a very lucrative market at the moment and bought £15 at 150, as The Reds took on Besiktas in their must win Champions League game. Now imagine if you had the same bet and your team scored in the following minutes: 19, 32, 53, 56, 69, 79, 81, 89. How would you feel? a) over the moon, b) over the moon, or c) over the moon? The resulting haul of 4,905 of the Queen's pounds could almost afford to take him there!

Does Britain now have itself the best pound for pound fighter in the world? This argument might be solved in early December if a certain Mancunian succeeds in Nevada but until then Joe Calzaghe can enjoy the limelight of being the undisputed Super-Middleweight Champion of the World. One client had a crack at one of our brand new boxing markets and sold the Calzaghe Wins on Points market at 41 for £50 in his bout against Mikkel Kessler. This volatile market awards 100 points if the Welshman wins by a judge's decision and 0 points for any other results. Calzaghe started slowly and was hurt on a couple of occasions but the home favourite has never shirked a challenge and dug deep to edge ahead of the Dane and win (sorry client) on points to bring the market's total to 100. The unanimous decision meant that our man was left on the canvas as a result of his £2,950 loss.

NFL Hands up those of you who thought the Pats were staring defeat in the face in the final quarter last weekend? New England dug deep to battle back from 20-10 down to beat the Colts 24-20 taking their record to 9 & 0 in the process. Bill Belichick's boys are up five points to 73-77 on our Superbowl Outright Index.

Entertainment
Are Kelly Brook and Brendan Cole's over-exuberant antics beginning to grate on the judges and public? The former Big Breakfast beauty only received 28 points for her Paso Doble last week (her lowest tally of the series to date) and she has fallen eight points to 19-22 on our Strictly Come Dancing Index.

Rhydion doing a Pink cover. It didn't sound a musical match made in heaven on paper, but 'The Riddler' brought the house down with his rendition of 'Let's Get The Party Started' and he is now the new favourite for the X-Factor crown. The Welsh warbler is up eight points to 28-31 on our Outright Index.

Champions League As documented above, Liverpool got their European campaign back on track on Tuesday night. Rafa's Reds revelled in their 8-0 romp against Besiktas and they are up three points to 15-18 on our Champions League Outright Index.
