The Premier League returns in just five weeks and we've already seen lots of business on our Season Points markets for each team. So far Arsenal are the team that's caught your eye the most and we're seeing more buys than on a Victoria Beckham shopping trip. Despite the high profile arrival of another fat bloke at Chelsea you lot have been busy opposing the Blues' quote (currently selling at 82 points). Interestingly, we've only had buys of Middlesbrough's points so far; do you know something we don't about Gareth Southgate's side?

The legend that is John McEnroe described the men’s Wimbledon final between Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal as the 'greatest ever seen'. But one thing that you can be sure about is that it was certainly the longest! One client helped himself to a (not so) small fortune this week after buying the Total Points Played in the match at 253 for £50. The world's two best tennis players played out a tennis soap opera in front of more people than had watched this year's Champions League final, denying the public the viewing pleasures of Allo' Allo', The Antiques Roadshow and Last of the Summer Wine, all of which had to be cancelled due to the action. The Radio Times, though, was of no concern to Nadal, who took a remarkable two set lead only for the greatest player of all time to come back with a set and then survive Championship point to draw level. The punter now had the perfect position as he faced the prospect of a final set, with no tie-breaks, between two players who weren't going to give an inch if they could help it. But, in the dark, Nadal and his guns were finally too much for the Swiss as Rafa won the 413th and final point of the epic. This locked in an £8,000 profit for our man.

Terrestrial TV viewers were treated to a double bill of action on Sunday as Silverstone hosted the the British Grand Prix for the last but one time. Sports Personality jolly Lewis Hamilton's win would've been celebrated by everyone expect this punter after selling the time, in seconds, of the Winning Margin at 10 for £200. In tricky conditions at the 90,000 Northamptonshire sell-out, Hamilton got his title campaign back on track with superb wet weather drive. The race was the best of his short career with the decisive moment of the race coming on lap 21 when Ferrari's dry tyre gamble cost Kimi Raikkonen any chance of taking victory away from the British superstar. From then on the others had as much chance of catching the McLaren as Jenson Button has of finishing a race. Lewis opened up a huge lead and passed the chequered flag over a minute ahead of second place which meant that the market's maximum 60 second make-up kicked in. Although the £1,600 saving on his £10,000 loss, won't have our man spraying the bubbly everywhere.

Tri-Nations The All Blacks opened their Tri-Nations campaign with a 19-8 win against South Africa and in so doing extended their unbeaten home run to 30 matches. Will we witness more cagey affairs over the coming weeks? Our Total Tournament Points quote is down 28 points to 360-370.

Formula One The torrential rain didn't dampen the spirits of the British hoards at Silverstone last Sunday, especially after Lewis Hamilton roared to victory. His Season Wins Special is up 1 to 5.5-6 and he's up 12 to 40-43 on our Drivers Championship Index.

Mildly interesting / useless sporting fact

For the 2003 F1 season, Renault team principal Flavio Briatore replaced Button with Fernando Alonso, previously a test driver for the team. Despite a huge outcry Briatore said "time will tell if I am wrong" . In 2005 and 2006 Alonso won the Drivers' Championship with Renault, while Button hasn't finished a race since.
