We haven't had any tales of your good and / or bad trades in a while. So you mean to tell 'The Mole' that you punters out there have had no cracking chronicles to tell us about in the last couple of weeks? No round-buying wins or cat-kicking losses? Come on, get them in to themole@sportingindex.com and you will get £50 put into your account if we use it.

If you fancy a punt on the second golfing major of the year then look no further than us as we are running yet another great trading promotion on the US Open. If you buy any player in an 18 hole match bet and he halves the match we'll refund your losses (click here for full T&C's). You never know, one of your bets on the tournament could be worth writing in about!

Yours in sport

All hail the new king of British sport. Prepare for children to be running around in the street with McLaren jackets and hats on pretending to be Lewis Hamilton (err, maybe not). One fan decided to buy the Stevenage boy in a match bet with Fernando Alonso at 3 for £20 (winner gets 10pts, plus 2pts per position won by). In a stop-start race the Briton was brilliant in holding off the rest of the pack to win the race while the Spaniard finished a measly seventh. This meant that Hamilton got 10 points plus 12 points for finishing a whole six places ahead of his team-mate, thus banking the client £380.

It takes a very brave punter to buy the runs of any West Indian batsman at this moment, especially if he is facing the spin 'genius' that is Monty Panesar. Well, one client did so and bought Shivnarine Chanderpaul's runs at 45 for £50 in the 2nd innings against England at Old Trafford. The veteran batsman shone in yet another losing Windies performance and probably should have taken the fight more to the England attack to give his team a serious chance of victory. The plucky punter, however, more than deserved his £3,800 profit after such a risky bet.

England Under-21's started in usual major championships fashion by blowing their chance to win their first group game against the Czech Republic. One client was so close to one of those 'get out of jail' type trades as he bought Total Goal Minutes in the match at 110 for £10. With three minutes to go in what was a pretty dull and dreadful game, Leroy Lita had the chance to score from the penalty spot and bring the goal minutes of the game up to 87 – which is a damn site better than 0 and a saving of £870 for our gambler. Instead the Reading striker pulled his shot wide of the Czech post to cost the unfortunate punter £1,110 – ouch!

It's fitting the way the season has gone in Spain that La Liga threw up yet more drama in the penultimate weekend. One client bought Barcelona's supremacy at home to Espanyol at 1.8 for £2,000 expecting the Catalan giants to brush aside their neighbours with some ease. But all did not go to plan as Raul Tamudo put the visitors ahead after 25 minutes only for Messi to do yet another impression of Maradona as he handled the ball into the net. Messi scored again on 57 minutes and the punter would have been forgiven for thinking that he may be getting a cheque from us this week as Barca went looking for a third. That was until a now infamous last minute in La Liga history where Real Madrid equalised over in Zaragoza and Tamudo denied Barca with a last minute effort to leave the client nursing a £3,600 loss.

Formula One What does Jacques Villeneuve know? Lewis Hamilton showed his class when claiming his maiden F1 victory in tricky conditions in Canada. But the Hertfordshire harrier isn't the biggest mover (or should it be faller) on our F1 Drivers' Championship Index. Felipe Massa is down 9 points to 28-31 after he was black flagged and bagged no points in Montreal.

Ferrari are hoping that their Indianapolis winning streak continues after they slipped further behind McLaren in the race for the constructors' title last weekend. Mario Almondo's team are down 5 points to 32-35 on our F1 Constructors' Championship Index.

Super League Bradford return to league action in high spirits following their Challenge Cup romp against Huddersfield. The Bulls, who lock horns with Hull on Sunday, are up 3 points to 65-68 on our Super League Outright Index.

Down at the other end of the table, Salford received a boost when Shaun McRae was unveiled as their new coach. Can he work his magic at The Willows? He needs to as the Reds are down 4 points to 31-34 on our Super League Bottom 3 Index.

Politics Blair out, Brown in (well almost). How will the recent movements affect Labour at the next General Election (whenever that may be)? The Labour Seats won market is up 2 to 268-276.
