Forget the Rugby and Football on offer this weekend, we have gone all out on Hollywood's biggest event and have some great markets on the Oscars for your perusal. This week we sent one of our traders straight to the red carpet and he has come up with some cracking markets on the showbiz ceremony.

Take a look at our Oscar Certs market which awards the 'jollies' in line for each major award 10 points per Oscar with a 25 point bonus if all said Certs triumph. Or for the patriots amongst you, we have a British & Irish Performance Index which offers 25pts for each Oscar won by the British & Irish Thespians (see the website for full details and more markets).

So forget the sport it's all about the Oscars! Anyway, its not like there is any good sport on this weekend is there?

Yours in showbiz

PS - Don't forget to keep sending in your good and bad trades to themole@sportingindex.com and you could get a £50 football supremacy bet.

Charles Howell III secured his first victory after four years and nine runner-up finishes when he won the Nissan Open in dramatic late fashion on Sunday night. Howell beat Phil Mickelson in a play-off after being four shots off Mickelson at the turn in the final round. The three Howells was available to buy at 2 on the live 25-10-5 Index during the final round and one client had himself 50 pounds worth just for some interest. Mickelson's short game (of all things) let him down as he practically handed the tournament to Howell who thus made-up 25 on the live Index and left the client 'made-up' as he was rewarded with a £1,150 profit. It's never over 'til its over.

Sunday Live European Bookings Bananas, what's that about? Well on Sunday it was a pretty volatile market predicting the total number of bookings points in the Palmero v Chievo match, multiplied by the total number in the Valencia v Barcelona match, multiplied by the total in the Sevilla v Athletico Madrid match, with 2 points per yellow and 5 points for a red (Phew)! Anyway one client, who is now lying on a beach in the Caribbean, bought at 2,100 for £2. There were 8 yellows in the Palermo game (16 points), 9 yellows and two reds in the Valencia game (28) and 7 yellows and one red in the Sevilla game (19). 16 x 28 x 19 = a make-up of 8,512 and a punter profit of £12,824 - Enjoy those coconut shaped drinks Mr. Client!

Is it finally the end of the stuttering career of Audley Harrison after his third round defeat to Michael Sprott? Big Audley was the hot favourite in the bout and one client was still confident in A-Force's abilities, buying him at 18 for £10 on the supremacy market (10 points for win 3 points per round left). Sprott picked himself up after a first round knockout to put Audley flat out on the canvas with a booming left hook. This meant the supremacy market moved into negative figures totaling -40 (Sprott win with 10 rounds left) and the client nursing a £580 concussion.

Here’s one from referee Phil Dowd's number one fan, the self-confessed Mr. L the shamefaced from Norfolk……."listening to Arsenal losing to Wigan with 12 or 14 mins to go I decided to risk wayward Arsenal shooting and buy Wigan on the in-running Win Index @ 18.5 for £20 and settle back to listen to more inept Gunners finishing. Within seconds of placing the bet I hear appeals for a Wigan penalty (yes THAT penalty appeal), a chance for the Latics to go 2-0 up and a give me a lovely Mohammed. But no...'NO PENALTY' and Arsenal go up the other end and equalise. Five minutes of squirming later came the inevitable seal on the home victory, a huge turn around and a £370 loss. Not just Mr. Jewell who was losing it bigtime!"

Six Nations France, who take on the try-less Taffies this weekend, have strengthened as Six Nations favourites. Les Bleus are up a point to 48-51 on our Outright Index.

Are there anymore low-scoring tussles in store? Some punters obviously think so, as Total Tournament Points are on the slide. They are down 2pts to 613-623.

Champions League Liverpool and dramatic comebacks seem to go hand-in-hand in Europe in recent seasons. Rafa's Mersey Reds are up 13pts to 33-36 on our Champions League Outright Index following their momentous 2-1 win at the Nou Camp on Wednesday night.

FA Cup Watford may be staring down the barrel of relegation, but it's not all doom and gloom (only Plymouth stand between them and a place in the FA Cup semis). The Hornets are up 13pts to 44-47 on our FA Cup Outright Index.

Super League The Saints have been more like sinners this season. St Helens are down 9pts to 68-72 on our Super League Outright Index after slumping to their second successive defeat last weekend.
